Brilliance Browser

Privacy Policy · Effective date: October 1, 2026
In short Brilliance does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. Everything the app saves stays on your device, and you can erase it at any time.

1. Who we are

Brilliance Browser ("Brilliance", "the app", "we") is a privacy-focused web browser for iPhone, iPad and Mac, published by Brilliance. This policy explains what the app does with information and how your privacy is protected. It applies to the app only, not to the websites you visit with it.

2. Information we collect

None. The app has no servers of its own and sends no information to us. We do not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, browsing history, location, or usage statistics. The App Store privacy label for Brilliance is therefore "Data Not Collected".

3. Information stored on your device

Like any browser, Brilliance keeps some data locally so that websites work properly. This data never leaves your device and is never visible to us:

You can erase all website data at any time from the browser menu using Clear Cache & History. Deleting the app removes everything.

4. Websites you visit and web search

Websites you open in Brilliance may collect information under their own privacy policies; we do not control them. When you type something in the address bar that is not a web address, Brilliance sends it as a search query to Google (google.com), which is governed by Google's privacy policy. Brilliance adds its name to the standard browser identification string ("User-Agent") so websites can display correctly.

5. Device permissions

Brilliance itself never uses your camera, microphone, location or photo library. A website may ask for one of these (for example, a video call page asking for the camera). In that case the system shows a permission prompt and you decide. Any data involved flows directly between you and that website, not through us.

6. Screen-capture protection

Brilliance is designed so that page content does not appear in screenshots, screen recordings or screen mirroring. To do this, the app checks locally whether the screen is being captured (using the operating system's standard capture-state indicator) and, on Mac, whether a known screen-recording or screen-sharing application is running. These checks run entirely on your device; nothing about them is recorded, stored or transmitted.

On iPhone and iPad the protection is enforced by the operating system. On Mac, the app window is excluded from system screenshots and browsing pauses while a known recording app is open; macOS does not provide a way to block recording by unknown tools, and no software can prevent a camera pointed at the screen.

7. Device integrity check

At launch, the app performs a local check to determine whether the device has been modified ("jailbroken") in a way that could disable the protection described above. The result is used only to decide whether browsing is enabled and is not stored or transmitted.

8. Children

Brilliance provides unrestricted access to the web and is rated accordingly on the App Store. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

9. Security

Connections to websites that support HTTPS are encrypted end to end between your device and the website. Because Brilliance has no servers and collects no data, there is no data of yours for us to protect, lose or disclose.

10. Your choices

11. Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts collecting data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, the effective date above will change, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
